BOOK BLURB

Toxic school mums, money worries, paranoia, and murder… The Best Friend is a chilling psychological thriller from the Bestselling Author of The Girl from the Sea.
They say to keep your friends close and your enemies closer … Wrong.
Louisa’s new best friend has it all – the house, the status, the money. But she’s also hiding a dark secret. And as Louisa is drawn deeper into her friend’s life, events take a chilling turn . . .

Fancy something easy to read?

Entertaining?

Something to make you look over your shoulder at the next school run?

Well then, in that case let me recommend The best friend by Shalini Boland.

First let me start with the only small negative niggle I had about the book…

At times I felt that the main plot line in The best friend by Shalini Boland was a tad unoriginal. While reading the story I kind of felt like I had been there and done that, so to speak.

So, what do I mean?

I feel like the bare bones of the plot line has been done time and time again in other books and films. There was a large part of the storyline that I felt I knew. Think along the lines of single white female but with school mums.

But, having said that it didn’t dampen my enjoyment of the story. The best friend by Shalini Boland was a good read.

For me it was a quick, entertaining read that kept me company over a weekend when I wasn’t feeling the best. I was full of the cold and didn’t want something to challenge me or something that would require my utmost attention.

All I wanted was some entertainment.

And The best friend by Shalini Boland kept me entertained from the first page to the last.

The writing, the pace, the characters were all spot on for me. It was an easy book to enjoy and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

I do feel like I have been repeating myself a bit in this review, but the word entertaining really does suit my feelings towards The best friend by Shalini Boland. I was entertained. It was entertaining.

I will most certainly be reading more of Shalini Boland’s back catalogue when I get the chance.

I read a copy of The best friend by Shalini Boland via my kindle unlimited subscription.
