Weekly round-up #books

So, I’ve been busy watching TV this week and I am nearly finished season one of the handmaid’s tale. It is intense. It is also unsettling and at times a bit difficult to watch but I am eager to find out where the story is going. And the acting is amazing.

Have you watched it?

It’s been on my radar for quite some time but it often feels like I am always late to catch up on things these days.

I did read The handmaid’s tale by Margaret Atwood years ago and I mean 15+ years… I am now debating whether I should re-read it again. Thoughts?

Also, I just discovered that Margaret Atwood has written a sequel – The Testaments, which will be published in Sept of this year.

I’m considering pre-ordering it, but I haven’t quite done that yet. If you are interested in finding out a bit more I will leave the Goodreads link – HERE

I haven’t quite finished any books this week but I am close to finishing a couple. I have been reading far too many different books. I usually have about two or three on the go at the same time, but this week I have been reading… well, see below.

Currently reading

Have you read any of them? Are you about too?

I’m so far enjoying all of them.

Books reviewed this week have included;

The kiss quotient by Helen Hoang

Relight my fire by Joanna Bolouri

Rosie’s travelling tea shop by Rebecca Raisin (ARC)

AND

I have also now reached over 500 twitter followers. So, thank you very much if you interact with me over there! I love twitter, it’s certainly a bit addictive. And I should probably log off more often to read.

How has your week been?

  1. I love weekly round-ups! These are such good suggestions. The Missing Sister sounds good! And I definitely think re-reading The Handmaid’s Tale would be good.
    Congrats on 500 twitter followers! 🙂
