20 Books of Summer 2019 #20BooksOfSummer #AmReading #Books #Summer

#20BooksOfSummer is an annual event hosted over at – 746 Books blog running from June 3rd until September 3rd – the idea is to clear that TBR pile, well at least to make a 20 book sized dent.

I decided after seeing a few other book bloggers join in that it looked like too much fun to miss out on. Plus it was a rather relaxing searching through my TBR pile and deciding on my 20 books. Please see below. I will also link any reviews I post beside the book title.

20 books over 3 months – I can do it! I can. I will. Let’s go…

  1. I LOVED the seven husbands do Evelyn Hugo. It was amazing. I wish I could go back and read it again for the first time.
Is that a new Jane Fallon book? I love her work but didn’t think she had anything new out in ages. Will look for your review!
Gone With the Wind is wonderful too. I didn’t expect it to be so great when I read it back when I was 16.
There are a bunch of books on this list that are definitely in my wheelhouse so I’m looking forward to seeing how you like them!

    1. It’s not the new Jane Fallon book – I think. I have it on audiobook to listen too, I’m planning on starting it soon.

So many people have said how great Seven husbands was, I’m really looking forward to it.

I’ve started Gone with the wind but it’s huge!
      Thank you for stopping by!

      1. Challenging list and a great way to make inroads into your TBR pile. Fortunately this challenge is flexible and you can swap books or drop your goal if necessary.
Gone with the Wind is on my wish list but something else always comes up and it gets pushed to the back again.
        Good luck with the challenge!

  2. Welcome aboard the 20 books of summer. As you say, putting the list together is so much fun – almost more fun than the actual reading and definitely more fun than writing the reviews….

  3. Great choices! I’m impressed by the breadth of titles you’ve selected. I’m keen to read Elif Shafak’s book as well, will be interested to see your thoughts.

  4. Have only read one from your list (Gone With the Wind) but have three more on my TBR stack – Water Cure, Sex in the City and Seven Husbands.

    Good luck with your challenge!

  5. Lots of temptation there! I read Twisted a couple of weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it – it’s one of these books it’s hard to say much about though without spoiling it. I didn’t get on with Gone with the Wind at all, but I’m in the minority so hopefully it will work better for you. And Conviction’s on my list too, so I’ll have my fingers crossed we both enjoy that one. Enjoy the challenge! 😀

  6. Ooh, Denise Mina! I read one of her books last year for #20BooksofSummer and really enjoyed it. I’ll have to make a note to source more of her books once this year’s challenge is over. Happy reading!
