I know it isn’t anywhere near Christmas time so apologies! But, this week I wanted to feature…
Christmas Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella due to be published on the 17th October 2019.
I have been a huge fan of Becky from the very beginning and although the last couple of books haven’t been amongst my favourites in the series, I am still very much looking forward to the next instalment. I think I will always look forward to another shopaholic book. They are my equivalent of comfort eating, they are just yummy.
Plus the book synopsis (below) sounds like Christmas Shopaholic could be a lot of fun. And I love reading Christmas themed books during the festive period. It is something I like to do every December. It is something I imagine quite a few of my booky friends like to do.
I will be pre-ordering thing one!
Book Blurb:
Celebrate Christmas with the ultimate Shopaholic!
The brilliant laugh-out-loud festive novel from the Number One bestselling author.
Becky Brandon (née Bloomwood) adores Christmas. It’s always the same – Mum and Dad hosting, carols playing, Mum pretending she made the Christmas pudding, and the next-door neighbours coming round for sherry in their terrible festive jumpers.
And now it’s even easier with online bargain-shopping sites – if you spend enough you even get free delivery. Sorted!
But this year looks set to be different. Unable to resist the draw of craft beer and smashed avocado, Becky’s parents are moving to ultra-trendy Shoreditch and have asked Becky if she’ll host Christmas this year. What could possibly go wrong?
With sister Jess demanding a vegan turkey, husband Luke determined that he just wants aftershave again, and little Minnie insisting on a very specific picnic hamper – surely Becky can manage all this, as well as the surprise appearance of an old boyfriend and his pushy new girlfriend, whose motives are far from clear . . .
Will chaos ensue, or will Becky manage to bring comfort and joy to Christmas?
As for the cover – I don’t mind it, but I don’t think it is anything overly special. It is cute. And it is christmasy. And it looks like it does show Becky’s worst shopaholic side. It is ok.

Are you looking forward to this one?
Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted over at Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss books that have yet to be released, the new and upcoming releases. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, originally hosted by Jill over at Breaking the Spine.
Oh sweet, I didn’t know she was still writing those, I love this series…thanks for the headsup! And no apologies….It’s Christmas in July. 😉 lol

Happy to help. I’m considering doing a bit of a re-read of some of the earlier books now 😀 The first books in the series are a lot of fun.

The shopaholic books are to you what the Stephanie Plum series is to me! I love it, even though some books are not as good. They’re my comfort read, and I won’t miss a single installment!
