SO I am finally getting around to joining in with all the lovely and positive posts that Meggy has inspired.

YAY – it’s Friday!

For us, it is the second last week of the school holidays. So this week has been all about friends, soft play, books and mess.

Lots and lots of mess.

But, I am forever grateful to my wee small person for brightening every day – even if my bathroom towels are almost always covered or stained by paint. And for my hubby who kisses me goodbye every morning on his way out the door, while I stay in bed and enjoy the summer holidays. Who doesn’t love a lie in? Getting back into the school run rush is going to be a shock to the system.

Veg boxes! A local farm has started delivering vegetable boxes that smell and look amazing. Amazing! And Yummy! So yummy.

In the box was lettuce, broccoli, beetroot, onions, turnips, tatties and carrots. It was just delivered yesterday and we’ve already sampled quite a few things. Yummy, yum, yum!

Books! Books are my happy place.

I have received some fantastic book post lately – including Comatose, which I have already started. I’m always thankful and grateful for a good book. And I have been very lucky with NetGalley eARC requests – I do need to stay away from there thou.

And this week my dog got out the front door. I didn’t notice and instead of running away he just had a sniff around our garden and the neighbours garden. I’m now doing a regular doggy headcount.

I’m so grateful he loves his home! And is probably far too lazy to go off wandering – he loves his blanket, cosy bed, dog treats and the sofa.
