Woohoo!!
Book 8 is soon to be released in one of my all time favourite series – RIVERS OF LONDON by Ben Aaronovitch.
Have you read any of the previous books?
If time and reading goes to plan then I would love to squeeze in a re-read of the series before the February 2020 release date for book 8.
I’ve been a fan of the series from the very beginning. I picked up book 0ne and fell in love with the fantastic world that Ben Aaronovitch created when the Rivers of London hardback first graced the shelves in my local Waterstones.
And I’ve eagerly awaited each instalment since then.
And the COVER is amazing!

Book Blurb:
The hugely anticipated brand new RIVERS OF LONDON novel…
Peter Grant is facing fatherhood, and an uncertain future, with equal amounts of panic and enthusiasm. Rather than sit around, he takes a job with émigré Silicon Valley tech genius Terrence Skinner’s brand new London start up – the Serious Cybernetics Company.
Drawn into the orbit of Old Street’s famous ‘silicon roundabout’, Peter must learn how to blend in with people who are both civilians and geekier than he is. Compared to his last job, Peter thinks it should be a doddle. But magic is not finished with Mama Grant’s favourite son.
Because Terrence Skinner has a secret hidden in the bowels of the SCC. A technology that stretches back to Ada Lovelace and Charles Babbage, and forward to the future of artificial intelligence. A secret that is just as magical as it technological – and just as dangerous.
The blurb sounds great, right?
Anyone else looking forward to False value? Any other Peter fans out there?

I haven’t heard of this series but I’m definitely going to have to look into it! Thanks for putting it on my radar!

Yay – I’m sure the first book had a quote from some author saying “Harry Potter for adults” and I never looked back 🙂

I’m the same way! A phrase like that makes me instantly want to read the book!

This is one of my all time favourite series as well! It is so funny and creative, although not all the books have been equally compelling. After the conclusion on the faceless man arch, I wondered where it would go. The new one sounds a bit different.

I do agree with that, I think it’s the series overall that keeps me hooked. The blurb above wasn’t what I was expecting, but then I’m not sure what I was expecting 😀

I agree with you on the cover! ❤️ Wow looks like you’re a big fan of this series! I’m never good with series especially if they have more than 3 book! 😅
