Only a week late – MARCH #GOALS – Books, writing and life… #AmReading #WeightLoss #HomeProject #AmWriting #WritingCommunity #BadFirstDraft

I am determined to be a bit more organised – and saying it in my head is one thing but I hope by writing it down here will help me to work towards firm goals.

So in March…

Health and fitness GOAL – to lose 7lbs.

I want to feel healthier and I need to lose a bit of weight, but I do realise that might be more of a struggle this month as I have been and I am still a little unwell. I am recovering from Shingles, which is painful and utterly, utterly draining. But I think a healthier mindset is definitely a good thing.

Plus, I have a wedding to attend at the end of May and if I lose a bit of weight I know I will be more comfortable in my own skin and it’s a great excuse to buy a lovely new dress – something I don’t buy often.

Writing Goal – 10,000 words

I have a WIP in progress that I have been thinking about for ages now and I need to just jump in. These words can be planning, scene sketches or just gibberish. But I need to get some words down – #BadFirstDraft.

Blogging Goals – 10 posts in March

And I want to catch up with some of the reviews that I have been meaning to write for AGES and ages now.

So at least 10 blog posts – but I don’t mind if they all aren’t immediately published. If I could schedule some I would be over the moon! Scheduled posts are the dream.

Reading Goals – at least 5 books and 1 audio-book

Reading is my self care time, reading is my relaxation and reading is MY HAPPY PLACE. When I don’t read, it usually means that life is overly stressful. Making time to read is important for me, but I also am sometimes too tired to read much more than 1 book a week. Plus, I am a SLOW reader. I can speed read a bit but it takes the enjoyment out of it for me, so slow and steady it is.

Home project – Sort the spare room

I would love to turn my spare room back into a functional room and no longer a junk storage space. I am going to tidy and spring clean and re-organise. I am going to turn it into a bit of a gym/calm environment for guests as well as a space for some home exercise.

I’ve got this!

Do you have any goals for March?

  1. Best of Luck with all your goals!! You’ve totally got this. It is always nerve-wracking to start a new draft but great once you’ve got started as you can sink into it and the idea start flowing!!
Also wanting to catch up on reviews is a constant mood, ahah!!
I don’t have any goals really but I would love to finish my world-planning and character plans for my next WIP!!
    Have a great March!! 🙂

    1. Yes, I know that feeling! I think it is far easier and much more tempting to eat healthy during the summer when salads and fruits tend to be in season and much more tasty 🙂

  2. Good luck with your goals! I always try to keep goals at a minimum 😉 It makes it a bit easier to be successful, if you only have to focus on one goal at a time. I’m sure you got this, though!
