I have been itching to read it since I first saw the cover and read the blurb…

Sadie loves her daughter and will do anything to keep her safe.

I have yet to read her first book – Blood orange (although I own it) BUT it’s hard to have missed all the glowing reviews for it. And so far I have heard that The lies you told is even better…
Sadly. Very sadly. I haven’t managed to finish it – yet! But that isn’t through any fault of the book, the book is absolutely great so far. August just seems to be ONE of those unhelpful months and my reading mojo has left the building.
The writing is great, the pacing feels spot on to me and I LOVE the short and snappy chapters that make me want to read just one more, then another, then one more…you get the point, right?!?! And Harriet Tyce has done an amazing job at creating characters I care about. It’s all very well written and I am hooked. I plan on finishing it in the next couple of days.
Clever plot. Great writing and memorable characters – now I just need some time and a big cup of tea to finish reading!

I haven’t read this author but the book sure does sound great! I love the fast pace that short chapters tend to create. The pages just speed by. Great review! I bet you can’t wait to finish it. ❤️
