#WWWwednesday 23/09/20

Happy Wednesday – hopefully, it is lovely and sunny wherever you are? It’s another lovely day in Scotland (although it is a bit windy) – but I love these early autumn days.

Autumn is my FAVOURITE season.

I love the cosiness of warm jumpers, big scarves and reading with my blanket and dog (who maybe loves a blanket even more than me). Also I love all the autumnal colours – gorgeous.

Apologies – because I haven’t been as active as I usually am – we are getting ready to put our house on the market. It’s been a busy few weeks and quite a lot to get my head around. I’m sure it will be a long process, but it will be an exciting next chapter and a lot to organise.

Anyway lets discuss BOOKS!

I’m currently finishing The Bone Shard Daughter and The Beast and the Bethany for blog tours I am taking part in later this week. And I am attempting to make a small dent in my NetGalley TBR pile and I’ve started reading Shiver. I am also almost finished the audiobook of The Testaments.

I LOVE them all! They are all so different but utterly compelling in their own way.

I was lucky enough to be approved for an ARC of Luster – it was a book that left an impact. I loved Summerwater, loved it. And The High Moments was an absolute addictive read. Reviews will be upcoming for all of these.

I always find this a hard question!! I used to be the type of reader that roughly knew what book I was going to pick up next – but not anymore!

Any suggestions? Any books you’ve loved recently?

  1. Looks like you’ve got some wonderful books on the go! I can’t wait to hear what you think of The Testaments – I tried not to compare it too much to The Handmaids Tale and ended up really enjoying it! 📚❤️ X x x

  2. I really want to read Luster! It feels like the whole of instagram is obsessed with it right now. If was a Belletrist book club pick as well, and I tend to love those.

I think my favourite read recently was Clap When You Land by Elizabeth Acevedo. It is a gorgeous book about grief and family written in verse.
