Welcome to my stop on the book tour for Gold Diggers by Sanjena Sathian. When I first read the synopsis I was excited, but what really caught my attention was some of the rave reviews for the book! I liked it, but I have a feeling it is going to be hugely popular.

I’m going to keep this review short…
The writing was well paced and interesting, but I just found the story was not quite what I was expecting. I didn’t connect with any of the main characters – not that that is always a problem! It’s fiction. I just didn’t get as invested in the story and lives of the characters as I would like. Anyway… as I said Sanjena Sathian had a beautiful way of writing – her prose was wonderful and evoked some beautiful imagery. Her writing seemed effortless – and we all know that takes TALENT.
I liked Gold diggers, but I didn’t love it. And while I DID absolutely love Sanjena Sathian’s writing style, the story, for me just lacked a bit of something special and I found certain chapters a struggle. It just wasn’t a book that I couldn’t wait to get back to. But, and it is an important BUT reading is subjective. If you like the sound of the book blurb or the fabulous cover design catches your attention then I do suggest you try it for yourself.
